Well, one of the quirks of being out in the desert is that sometimes internet can be rather sketchy.  I went to write this post yesterday and discovered that there were no internet connections available, so for the first time since the beginning of this project, I am late in posting my weekly photo.

Fortunately, at the last RV park there were a few subjects that caught my fancy.  One was the front of this old VolksWagen van.  Something about the circles on the hood were just fascinating, and I thought it would make for an interesting image.

The kids managed to stay busy on the playground, and had lots of fun on the swings.  I managed to catch a couple of shots of them enjoying themselves.  Here’s one below.

The following image is a little more abstract, the perspective is definitely not conventional.  The thing I like about this image is how the story is told more through shadow than through actual forms.  This could very well be an image of any 9-year-old boy out having fun on the swings.  The only indication that this image has any connection with reality is the placement of the feet in the upper right corner which serve to whet the viewer’s appetite, giving them a small glimpse into the real world.  Anyways, I think it’s an interesting image, though definitely unconventional.

Well, here they are.  Better late than never.  Look out for more images this upcoming week.
