The sun was poking its head out between the clouds today, not too cold, just a slight breeze.  It was perfect weather for your average wannabe cowboy to stand around and do nothing.  So today I’ve brought you a few shots from a shoot I did with a cowboy who had nothing better to do than to sit around and pose for me.  😉

I worked the lighting in these pictures so that you couldn’t get a clear view of our cowboy’s face.  These images are not about the cowboy pictured here, but about cowboyhood in general.  These could be photos of any wannabe cowboy, and because of the generic nature of these portraits, I think we can all connect with the character at some level.  Somewhere deep down inside all of us I think there’s a nagging voice that comes back and haunts us.  It comes back every now and then just to let us know that we missed our true calling…
