Took a little stroll this morning looking for inspiration.  The thing about strolling out on the Palouse is that you can go for miles in any direction and encounter unending beauty.  New vistas present themselves at every turn in the road and every crest of a hill.  That’s what this image represents to me, the ceaseless possibilities presented to us as artists, an unending road of discovery and creativity.

It was refreshing to get out and enjoy the cool air and the slight drizzle of raindrops bringing life to the landscape around me.  I used a longer focal length in this image to try and compress the subject a little more to accentuate the rolling hills.  Plus it brings a nice blur to the foreground, placing more emphasis on the road ahead, while still giving us a vantage point from which to view the scene.  It almost makes me wonder what’s on the other side of the hill…
