In the world of dreams, anything is possible.  There are no limitations, except for those imposed on you by your own imagination.  What you’ve held to be true in reality no longer remains, and the laws of physics are thrown out the window.  So what holds you back from soaring through the night on the carefree breeze of freedom and liberation?  Only your own misgivings.

Let go of reality and all of its imposing fears and inhibitions for a moment, and you’ll find that you truly can sail above your circumstances.  Life is hard, and we all struggle, but regardless of what you’re facing, you can still overcome the difficulties of the present and look to the joys of tomorrow.  Don’t let problems drag you down and hold you fast on the ground.  Overcome the odds and fly away…

Had a ton of fun with this image.  Though not totally an original concept, it was great being able to give an old idea a new twist.

This composite is composed of a couple different images.  I shot the moon when it was full on a clear night.  The trees were shot against a bright sky making them easy to isolate in post.  I photographed myself on the bike in the garage with a white sheet behind me lit by two strobes, creating that silhouette effect (seen below).  I also photographed the balloons against the same backdrop, giving that impression of them being lit behind by a large light source.

The landscape itself was created using Photoshop brushes.  Since there wasn’t a need for a lot of foreground detail, it was easy to just throw something together.  A little bit of color-toning and desaturation were also used to enhance the night-time effect.

I had an awesome time with this one.  Hope you guys enjoyed it.  Be sure to come back next week for another installment…
