A shot from one of the aquariums at SeaWorld, San Diego. I think at the time, I shot this with a longer exposure more out of necessity than from an artistic desire to capture something unique. Looking at the image now, what caught my attention was the dynamic of the blurred movement captured in this image. The blur of shapes and colors, yet still clearly distinguishable as fish, almost abstract in nature but containing elements based in reality. Something about this picture just drew me in. This probably wasn’t my intention when I originally took this shot, but coming back to it with a fresh set of eyes gives me a new appreciation for this image.
